Family Armed with God's word

My son ran into the living room late one night, scared that there was a monster in his room. He was only two and my first thought was to comfort him by telling him, ‘there were no such things as monsters’. However, we know that is not true. There are dark forces all around us, unseen in the spiritual realm.

There might be a monster in your room,” I replied peacefully, looking into his worried eyes, ‘But let me tell you what God says about you.”

I then gave him a sword to take back to his room.

“God has not given you a spirit of fear but power, love and a sound (which I changed to ‘peaceful’ so he’d understand) mind”
2 Timothy 1:7

“God has given you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Luke 10:19

“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4:4

The sword I gave to him was the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17) And with that sword, we walked back to his room, and he told the monsters to go in Jesus’ name. Then he got back into bed and slept soundly.

I think about the raging war of the enemy that seeks to corrupt the innocence and beauty of our children’s lives. I’m concerned a world that doesn’t know their Creator and his goodness will shape their identity. However, I know we do not need to fear, for we are not unarmed. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty and the word of the Lord is Living and Powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword.

Sword of the Spirit

We have made this resource for us and you. A resource for mothers, fathers, teenagers, grandparents and children to be strenthened in the Lord.
Every box contains 45 illustrated Bible verses and a wooden stand to place them anywhere you want around your home.

We have chosen key themes and verses to help fortify you:

1 - TRINITY. Knowing who He is and the love He has for you is one of your greatest weapons. These verses will draw your focus to Him. Every worry fades and we see things as they really are.

2 - ROOTS. Strong roots mean the tree can survive the storm. These verses are foundational truths to help plant you firmly on the rock.

3 - UNIQUE. Your identity is under constant attack, but there is one who sees who you really are and will pull you out of the mud of deception. These verses will give you the truth that sets you free.

4- LOVERS AND FIGHTERS. When tempted in the wilderness, Jesus stood only on the word of God to fight every attack of the enemy. If He did this then, how much more should we. These verses will give you courage and passion and help you stand firm and fight.

5- UNITY  Jesus prayed we would be one.

His body was broken that we would be one.

He is coming back for one bride.

These verses will challenge, heal, and inspire you to stay connected to those in the body.

It has been our great privilege to have created these as a husband and wife team. We pray they will be a blessing to you and God’s word will fill your heart, mind and home.
